Transfers are straightforward when the information is accurate before you start. Taking a moment to confirm the recipient and keeping the confirmation record can prevent avoidable delays and make later questions easier to answer.
Confirm the recipient details
Use the recipient’s legal name, receiving account details, destination country, and any required routing or bank identifier exactly as supplied by the recipient. For a first payment, confirm the details through a trusted channel you already know. Do not rely on a changed account number sent in an unexpected email.
Write a useful reference
A short memo such as an invoice number, family support, or contract reference helps both sides identify the payment. Avoid including passwords, full card numbers, or other sensitive personal information in a transfer memo.
Save the confirmation
When you submit a transfer, retain the confirmation number and note whether the status is processing, approved, or complete. If support is needed, sharing the date, amount, recipient, and confirmation number gives the team the practical information it needs.
